Hippocamp's tail

from £125.00

Hippocamp is a tiny Neptunian moon (of about 34 kilometres across) unusually close to a much larger Neptunian moon called Proteus. Scientists think Hippocamp is likely a chipped-off piece of the larger moon that resulted from a collision with a comet billions of years ago.

Roman God Neptune is often depicted driving a sea-chariot drawn by hippocampi; these are creatures from Greek mythology that have the upper body of a horse and the lower body of a fish.

* This specimen was captured in an expedition to Bali.

Printed on archival Hahnemühle Photo Rag paper.

All prints are sold unframed and available in four sizes.

We ship to UK, Europe and America, and the best bit, our service is end-to-end carbon neutral 🌴
